 | Overview
In-Mold-Labelling (IML) introduces high quality decoration to plastic components.
In the first step a freely chosen motif is screen printed onto the foil, which is then formed according to the given dimensions using a high-pressure process (Step 2). The then laser cut or stamped pre-form (Step 3) is back molded during an injection molding process (Step 4).
Through the combination of foil and printing a multitude of design options or qualities are made possible e.g. scratch resistance, depth effect, piano varnish appearance etc. |
